We are having our next meeting in Hickory, NC at the Patrick Beaver Memorial Library on November 5th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The address is below. This time we will run the meeting a little differently.

Artist and Ufologist Budd Hopkins died in August at age 80.  He was a talented and successful abstract artist as well as a pioneer UFO abduction resercher.  His books give us insight into the lives of abductees and his discoveries set the standards for addressing abduction.  His memoir is titled "Art, Life and UFOs" and is the story of his incredible and complex life.  To learn more about Budd Hopkins go to www.nytimes.com/.../budd-hopkins.

Visit his website, www.intrudersfoundation.org to learn more about the abduction phenomenon.

John Learned, a neutrino astronomer at the University of Hawaii, said that if the results of the Opera researchers turned out to be true, it could be the first hint that neutrinos can take a shortcut through space, through extra dimensions. Joe Lykken of Fermilab said, “Special relativity only holds in flat space, so if there is a warped fifth dimension, it is possible that on other slices of it, the speed of light is different.” Read the full article at http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/24/science/24speed.html?scp=1&sq=Speed+of+Light&st=nyt

I personally do not think Einstein was wrong. He just wasn’t aware of extra dimensions at the time.

As everyone on this list would know, on Tuesday evening September 19, 1961 Betty and Barney Hill were abducted while driving through northern New Hampshire on their way home from a trip to Montreal, an event lasting into the early hours on Wednesday.

MUFON has received an explosion of new sightings over the last week. On average, between 400-500 cases are reported each month. In the last week there have been over 300 cases. In North Carolina we typically receive 6 or 7 cases each month. We have had 19 in the last 4 weeks! Also, MUFON headquarters has had a team of developers from across the country working on the next version of the website. I have been working on adding geographical reporting to the next version. Other team members are working on mobile applications for Field Investigators. It is an exciting time in the field of UFOlogy. If you would like to get involved as a MUFON Field Investigator, please contact Lakita Adams at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
