There were about 70 attendants at the MUFON NC meeting in Concord on March 16th. Featured speakers were Scott and Suzanne Ramsey, from Mooresville, NC. The Ramseys presented a slide program about their 26 years of researching the crash of an unknown craft in Aztec, NM in 1948. They discussed their recently published book, “The Aztec Incident: Recovery at Hart Canyon”, and answered questions from the audience. For more information visit:

Public Relations Director, Israel Curiel, gave updates on sighting data from MUFON CMS, and State Director, Lakita Adams, reported on NC statistics from the last 6 months. NC Field Investigators, Alvin Bly, Steve Hall, Steve McGee, and Michael Palmer were present, as well as witnesses who had recently submitted sighting reports.

Kent Senter, a founding member of the NC MUFON chapter, announced that he will be producing a UFO conference at the Greensboro Coliseum, on the 29th and 30th of June. Author Leslie Kean is consulting with Kent, and has secured speakers that include pilots, military officers, and government officials. The website for the conference will be launched soon, and the link will be posted here at MUFON-NC.

Discussions and conversations continued over dinner, with 22 attendants staying for the extended dinner hour.

Post Meeting Note: Congratulations to Matt Vest, who also attended the meeting, and was certified as a MUFON Field Investigator on March 19th. Welcome to the NC team, Matt!

Thank You!

Many thanks to the members and friends of MUFON, for your interest and support. Thank you, NC Field Investigators, for volunteering your skills and knowledge to investigate sighting reports.

I appreciate the interest I've received about becoming a Field Investigator in NC. We currently receive about 17 sighting reports a month, making our state #8 in the US, in submitted reports to MUFON CMS. We need more investigators to cover our broad state.
